Spring Butterfly   Buoys Afloat This 18x24 framed mosaic is made from real sea-lost buoys given to me by the harbormaster after the Patriots Day storm. They are mosaiced with venetian glass tiles, mirror tiles and refitted with original rope. The three buoys are afloat in a sea of stained glass and glass nuggets, then framed with an older wooden frame to enhance the old ocean feel. Considered by some as the rats of the beach and by others as playful, hungry, unafraid birds of the beach, they remain the symbol of all that is loved about summer days at the beach.
